Why is it called after dark when it's really after light?
Why do doctors call what they do practice?
When sign-makers go on strike, is there anything written on their signs?
If cops arrest a mime does he have the right to remain silent?

1.It's really after it TURNS dark, meaning the sun set. The ever-changing English language has changed he expression.
