There's this thing in life called life.
It's really ironic how the little things we never take notice of even though they're right in front of our face, then we get all bent out of shape because it smacks us upside the head, when we were the ones not paying attention in the first place.
Honestly, it never ceases to amaze me.
And then I was reminded of my 5+ minute challenge I have wanted to perform since... forever. It all started two years ago (yeah, a whoppin' 2ago...) at Lake Powell. My dad and I were outside just walking around and we found this long line of ants. Like in the movie Bugs Life. Anyway, they were all walking in a straight line and it was just so perfect. So my dad and I (being the ant-bullies we are) decided to do an experiment. So we woul first drop leaves and stuff in their path. The ants (little muscle men) would band together and move the leaf out of the way and just keep on marching. Then we would drop sticks in their path. They would try to move these, but once they found it they were unable to, they would simply go over it to the other side. Then, we would drop a rock in their way. The ants would try to move this, but found that it was much too heavy. They would try to go over it, only to find that they couldn't climb up it because it was too hard. Then, when they really got to thinking, they would go around the rock and wind up on the origonal path.
I find these ants inspiring because of this: they never let the obstacle in their way keep them from their final destination. The ants could have given up, but they didn't. Why? Diligence.
There's a verse in the bible that stood out to me for the longest time:

"Go watch ants you lazy person. Watch what they do and be wise."
~Proverbs 6:6

The ants didn't give up when a situation became. They just kept pushing on. So that's what I encourage you to do. I have personally fought this because I seem to give up easy. But keep on going.
Sometimes you can move the problems...
Sometimes you can't, but then you can climb over them...
If you can't climb, you can always go around...
Enough said.

Trip, Ace & Demo,
~Yours Truly

Like the expression that Abby FAILED at today during internship...
"Winners never quit & quitters never win"
even though she said "quitters never prosper"
Thank you for being an inspiration!
I love you Sydney!

I like that, and that's a great analogy. Perfect for a 5 minute challenge, I can't wait to hear it when you do it!
