Last night I had a horrid dream. I don't usually have scary dreams but last night was an exception. I don't know why I had the dream. Honestly, I think it's just because my head has been filled with so much junk, so much garbage and fear that it made it's way into my zen time.
I won't share what the dream was because thinking of it makes my stomach curl.
However, I will let you know that I woke up scared out of my mind. So, I went to my bible.
Oh, the bible. I will be totally honest- I haven't been reading it like I used to. Maybe once or twice a week and I have noticed a difference. I haven't been able to write more than a page or two in my book because the inspiration is just not there. I have been worrying about my future and the end of the world and yada, yada, yada. But when I picked up my bible today I felt better. I could feel all that garbage slipping off my shoulders, almost as if a cloak was being pulled off my back. I ended up reading Psalms 91:
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."
3 Surely he will save you from the Fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-
10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."
If you can't tell, my favorite parts are those in red. These are the parts that really spoke to me and make me feel, well, better. Now for some Pearls of Wisdom (I finally got the original name back!)
- Internship is today in... an hour and I am extremely excited!! I think the cereal potluck is possibly the most incredible thing that has ever happened to me next to life. AND of course we get to go bowling! Not that I am any good or anything, but I can still TOTALLY beat Abby!!!
- And I am wearing my new shirt! It really is cute, if I do say so myself. It is known as a 'slouchy tee' because it's kind of loose fitting. (I don't think Morgan would approve of the name) and it's a pale gray with little salmon colored flowers and green butterflies. Hard to describe.
- And it still smells like the store.
- Which smells like men's Cologne.
- Which, I might as well confess right now that I love the smell of men's Cologne. I could live in the men's section because it always has that strong, spicy smell. Unlike the women's isle that smells all tuity-fruity and la-la-la. Not that I have anything against perfume, but to me cologne smells better!
- I think I should buy cologne and squirt it on my clothes now. I'm really diggin this smell.
- OK, it's a done deal, I am buying some Cologne.
- Tonight I am going to Emma's for our "Editing Party" (emphasis on the party). I think Danielle is coming too...? But I am stoked for that!! Wooooooo!!! I might even bring Finding Neverland so we can watch it because that movie is just so so amazing! Honestly, I recommend it! Really, do watch it, but bring tissues, it's a real tear-jerker.
- Summer's almost over and School is almost here. Can I just say I am enjoying this coasting period? I believe I may.
- Enough said.
~Yours Truly

I like smelling like lalala to a point. A touch of cologne is...delicious.
You'll learn in high school. Most guys can't find that perfect amount that makes them smell GOOD.
Glad you were able to find peace through God's word! What we allow to come into our lives, whether through books, movies, etc...can take away from our spiritual life. God is so good and always ready to be the answer! Oh, and la-la-la gives me a headache. I personally like to wear cotton candy body spray. I agree with you...cologne smells really good !!!
have a great night,
Ingrid :)
