Question of the day!!!


You have a barrel of oil, and you need to measure out just one gallon. How do you do this if you only have a three-gallon container and a five-gallon container?

I'll give you guyes the answer after a few days!

u fill up the 3 gallon, then dump it into the 5 gallon. refill the 3 gallon, and pour it into the 5 gallon til its full. then whatevers left in the 3 gallon is 1 gallon!! and thats the truth!!!!!

Fill the five gallon container. Then with the five gallon contaner fill the three gallon container. Two gallons will remain in the container. Pour the three gallons back into the barrel. With the Two remaining gallons in the five gallon container, divide in 1/2 by measuring the depth of the oil, and pour your one gallon into the now empty three gallon container.

ok, well i dont even know the answer BUT i have a question... how come it cant be, like, a barrel of water? Or grape juice?

ok, well i dont know the answer (this is the other A) BUT... i would like to know why it has to be a barrel or oil. Why cant it be water or like, orange juice?
