"Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath."
(James 1:19)
(James 1:19)
Let's just say I need to allow God to work with me via this verse. Because I'm Sydney, and there are things in me that constantly need changing. Trust me, I could never do what that very says on my own!

Alright, so I have discovered that it is nearly impossible for me to wake up and be hilarious OR poetic. When I wake up, my eyes are nearly glued shut, my hair looks quite electrifying, and my face is... priceless. Needless to say, I defied all odds today, and was being hilarious AND poetic mere moments after I rolled out of bed at the un-thinkable hour of 6am (I really need to talk to my subconscious about its hours).
ANYWAY.
- Sorry about that little blurb there (YES! I BROUGHT THE WORD BACK!)
- I honestly have to say that NONE of Leah's dreams definitely did not compete with the dream I had last night. Because Leah's dreams don't involve the kids from my French class, ping-pong, my aunt and uncle, Lake Powell, blue Delorians', sharks and Selena Gomez (SELENA GOMEZ?!?!)
- I told you, my subconscious needs a pep-talk.
- So, for those of you who have ever heard of the one-man-band Owl City, you have probably heard the song Fireflies. I don't know why, but I like the music. It's totally pointless, but it makes me want to dance (and I CANNOT dance).
- While we're on the topic of music, I really love the song Finally Home by MercyMe. I don't cry in songs, heck, I don't cry almost ever. But there are those few moments when something strikes the right cord and I start bawling my eyes out.
- AND I love a lovely piano song called Comptine d'un aure ete l'apres midi (yes, I know it's a long name, and it's most definitely not English).
- For the longest time I have been asking Emma to learn it and play it for me because Sydney + Piano = not a good sound.
- And she did. She blindfolded me, and sat me on the couch and started playing. I seriously wanted to cry, and hug her at the same time. It was so, so beautiful. If I ever become more tech-savvy I'll post the video I took of her playing on this lovely blog.
- Which, I hope people still read. Because I write this stuff, and it would be great if it was being consumed.
- If it's not being read, then I feel like one of those schizophrenic people in New York who walk down the streets speaking to themselves.
- For those of you who are wondering, the photo for this blog is one my sister took of my cousin Rachael and I at the beach. It is my favorite picture in the world!!!
- I love the title of this blog post. I think that should be my life's slogan.
- Alas, I have run out of things to say...

So, I find it extremely disheartening to know that I haven't blogged in... nine days. That's a little disappointing. I really need to get on it! So, once again, I apologize.
- I'm writing this from school, and I know I should not but I have no homework. Seriously. I'm done. Totally. Completely. It's kind of odd, not having homework, considering that I have almost two hours of it every night.
- I have come to the horrible realization that iTunes has raised the price of its songs from 99cents to $1.29. That's a little ridiculous to me, if you would like me to be totally honest. So now, I can only buy... 19.4 songs (yes, I just plugged that into my calculator).
- The reading strike has held strong, until today. Yes, I will start reading again today. I have really been aching to read the two final books in The Mysterious Benedict Society series. That is, I will read it if I can find time to.
- Yeah... that's looking less and less likely by the minute.
- What has made me so busy lately, you ask. That's a great question, and I don't have a good answer for it. I just find myself so busy lately with the most random things. Ridiculous? I do believe so.
- I'm extremely excited for Friday night. The reason is simple: I'm hanging out with three of the most wonderful people I have known. I couldn't be happier. Litterally.
- Thank you once again, Faithful Readers for listening faithfully, and commenting often.

"It is not yet time for the message to come true, but that time is coming soon; the message will come true. It may seem like a long time, but be patient and wait for it, because it will surelyy come; it will not be delayed." (Habakkuk 2:3)

Sydney and I decided that our blog was getting a little dull, well actually I decided that our blog was getting a little dull, so then we were riding the bus today and we thought of the best idea ever. This may seem really weird and even a little inhuman… I’m going to start writing the blog from the point of view of a witch, from Harry Potter. Now I know that there are probably a lot of readers out there who don’t read Harry Potter. There are probable even a few of you who have started to read it but decided that you don’t like it. I ask that you still read the posts that I write. Thank you.

YOUR FIRST POST OF 2010!!
That's right Faithful Readers, I can tell you're excited.I however, find it a little shameful that I'm writing this on the twelfth and well... that's a wee bit into 2010.
But who cares? The point is, I posted! The question now is, what should I write? It's a great question, and considering all that is running through my head constantly I should be able to come up with something. You would think. Alas, Dear Readers, I seem to have come up empty, except for these few key things.
- Church was beyond amazing.
- I've found that as I hunger for my calling and seek God's face, he comes through. Yeah it's rough quite often, but the reward is so much better.
- My iPod is adorable.
- The movie "It's A Wonderful Life" really keeps me up thinking late at night (not that I don't stay up thinking anyway)
- I miss my family in California, but I love my family here and all my great, great friends!!
- This post doesn't have much point to it...
- One more thing: let's all be a little more thankful. And not complain so much! My mom pointed out that when her kids complain it makes her not want to give them anything. And I TOTALLY don't blame her. I've put a ban on complaining.
- And books. The "No Books" strike is still up and running! (That is until I start reading the three books I got for Christmas... I'll keep you posted :))
- Have a fantastic week my Dear Readers!!!
~Yours Truly
P.S. Pictures fascinate me. Along with John 15:19 "If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." (I'll write a post about this some other time)
